Akshay Belur's sitar recital

My first sitar student, Akshay Belur, will be giving a one hour solo sitar recital on Saturday, August 4th at the Kirkland Performance Center. Being able to give sitar recital for one hour is such a monumental achievement. I am very proud of Akshay! Congratulations and keep it up!

Northwest Folklife Music Festival 2012

Back by popular demand again this year! I will be giving a Sitar solo recital at the Northwest Folklife Music Festival on Monday, May 28th, at 7:20 pm, at the Center House Theater. I will be performing a traditional North Indian Raga followed by a Dhun on Sitar. Accompanying me on tabla will be Chaz Hastings. This venue is sponsored by KUOW.
